Naked cats are usually not the prettiest cats to be found. They look wrinkled, weird, and like they weren't born on this planet. However, some people seem to be very fond of them, and it was only a matter of time before one of them took over Instagram. Meet Xherdan, the Naked Cat.
Xherdan is not an eye-catcher in any sense of the word, but at least he manages to be ugly with style. Xherdan even has his own website where you can find his photos, information about his life, and even contact Xherdan directly. I'm sure their owners are answering, but it's worth a try anyway!
The specific breed of cat that Xherdan is a part of is called the Sphynx. He is Canadian, although he was born in Switzerland in 2013, and lives together with two fellow sphinxes. Since Xherdan isn't even seven years old, this means we'll have plenty more of his adventures to follow on Instagram .
According to his personal website, Xherdan dreams of being part of the Marvel Universe and becoming a hero who mesmerizes people with his eyes. I guess that works perfectly for a race called "sphinx", right? For all the goodness of him, I'm sure Xherdan would have easily bested Thanos in just a three hour movie.
Xherdan currently only has around 33k followers, which isn't much by Instagram standards, but we can imagine this number will only grow as his antics spread all over the internet. He may be an ugly and mean kitty, but he's also hard to look away from. I think deep down he just wants some cuddles like any other cat, don't you think?
In short, I'm sure there will be much more to come for Xherdan. I can see merchandise with his name on it on the horizon, kind of like what they did with Grumpy Cat and all the other animals that have taken over the internet at some point in the past. And let's be honest, who wouldn't pay $20 for a cup of coffee with Xherdan, or Xherdy as his friends call him, with his cute little wrinkled face? That coffee will never have tasted better, I assure you.
